Virginia Maissen's design studio repeatedly realises outstanding projects in the areas of interior design and scenery. These include the renovations and redesigns at the two family-run hotels Walther and Steinbock in Pontresina.
With great attention to detail, a tailor-made concept was implemented in which historical elements meet creative design and sophisticated art. This resulted in numerous patterns, designs and formats that were made exclusively for the respective hotel. They are a mix of modern and traditional aesthetics. Unique Belle Epoch elements from the hotels' origins meet a cool, contemporary look. In this way, old and new constantly enliven each other. Through this approach, the hotel's qualities and values such as hospitality, tradition and consistency became visible and tangible for the guest.

Fidea Design was allowed to set up a small shop with its own and complementary products for the Hotel Steinbock in autumn 2022. This gave rise to the idea of transforming Virginia Maissen's unique designs into products. This initial idea led to the cooperation Fidea x Walther and the Virginia Maissen (VM) collection. The first version of this collection includes a wide variety of products with the looks of Virginia Maissen - from postcards and posters to serving trays and foulards.
